Bring your own disc

The edition ships no game data and no crack. You supply your own copy of THUG2; the installer builds a playable, modded edition from it — entirely on your machine.

Prefer clicking? Launch the built-in graphical installer and do the same steps in your browser. ./revert update keeps you on the latest release.

    Bring your own disc

    The edition ships zero game data and zero crack. You supply your own THUG2 — the toolkit turns it into a clean, verified base, entirely on your machine.

    Get the toolkit

    It's open source (MIT). Clone it with its components — git clone --recursive — or download a tagged release. No account, no launcher, no telemetry.

    Build & play

    Run ./revert setup, acquire-game-data, build, then run qol — or click through the same steps in the built-in graphical installer. ./revert update keeps you current.

    Steam Deck ready

    Transfer the built edition to your Deck, add it to Steam, and go — glyphs and controls are Deck-aware out of the box.

Streaming safely

THUG2’s licensed soundtrack is a DMCA risk on Twitch. The edition’s Streaming Mode and Violet Vandal Radiolane mute only the licensed jukebox while keeping the game’s bespoke ambient music — so you can stream the whole build worry-free.
